Beautiful Ruinous Disaster
Beautiful Ruinous Disaster
My castle got punched down
By the one who wears the crown.
I sit in its ruins, staring down
at pieces in the moat, watching them drown.
Looking around, feeling lost
but this is the cost
of unflinching trust.
It’s a beautiful disaster, these ruins.
I know You know what you’re doing.
And that’s why I have no choice,
In this place that’s dank and moist,
But to let you finish.
So, while I feel frazzled and lacking
I know you’re my solid backing –
Invisible yet sturdy, comforting, and strong.
Together we’ll rebuild – trusting, leaning, learning.
All the while, from now on, for You I’ll be yearning
for a stronger bond, connection, relationship, and perspective.
You’re all I’ve got.

beautiful
it is time for the book of poems you have written over the years to be set to music
I don’t know yet.
Thanks.
