When is enough, enough? When will people realize that in order for capitalism to work correctly, there needs to be a proper balance struck between corporate responsibility and government regulation? ”Government get out of my way,” isn’t a good thing. If the EPA weren’t around, do you think the coal company would have said anything about the spill?
Bottom line, crazy Tea Party conservatives: you don’t have to lie. Really. If you get found out, the damage of a lie is far worse than dealing with the truth head-on the first time. People will always respect the truth and the truth-teller. They grow to hate and despise the liar because eventually no one knows whether or not to believe your words or pathetic re-branding efforts.
Republicans are being pretty stupid right now. If they were acting intransigent for a good reason that they could actually articulate, I would listen to their side of the story. Right now, though? It’s just a bunch of whining and I’m sick of it. Dwight D. Eisenhower would fire on you with tanks if he could see what you’ve done to his party, GOP.
…it’s part of a Senate proposal (Manchin-Heitkamp Resolution) that the White House apparently is not even trying to consider, because they’re all about a strike and going to war, while saying that they don’t want to go to war, but want a limited strike, and that this whole thing is so complicated that they’re willing to hear options for how to manage it. Yet, they’re rejecting this proposal. But…but…for why, tho?
Bradley Manning, a gay, atheist, and innocent bright-eyed young man with a bright future ahead of him, was sentenced to 35 years in prison for blowing the whistle on the sins and outright egregiously bad behavior of the Obama Administration. This man was sentenced to prison after being abused like a prisoner in Abu Ghraib and made to go through an excruciating trial where he was embarrassed in front of the entire Pentagon War Department Citizen Tribunal and world.
Racists are really trying my patience this week. Stop and Frisk was struck down in NYC and the last person I’d think who’d be sad about it would be a minority, Democratic Obama Administration employee and actor, but that’s exactly who is sad – Kal Penn. Kal Penn, Orson Scott Card, and Peggy Noonan are some scared white people. Except that no one has told Kal Penn that he isn’t white lately.
